Assalamualaikum dan selamat sejahtera, beautiful peoples!
What’s happening to me right now? Well… currently I’m in my healing process. Maybe… 🤷♀️
Anyone wants to hear my story? Let’s begin… haha
The Acne Saga: Part 1
One day… okay, let’s be serious, peeps. As a girl, everyone dreams of having a flawless face, right? Well, me included. This year, 2014, I decided no more pills. I was scared of the aftereffects of all those antibiotics and creams—my mouth was always dry, and honestly, I just wanted a healthier life inside and out.
So, I started taking Shaklee supplements for a month—ESP, Vitamin C, and Alfalfa—with at least 2 liters of water daily. And now… the healing process has begun.
Here’s the catch: all the acne that was hiding under my skin is coming out. And let me tell you… this is the worst my face has ever looked. I seriously don’t want anyone to see me right now. 😭
But I’m staying patient because I know this is my body healing properly, tackling all the root problems. So, that’s it from me… wait for Beauty Story Part 2, everyone >.<
Flashback: Form 1–Form 5
When I was in Form 1, my face was totally flawless. No disasters, no problems—just smooth, happy skin. My mom got me a Clean & Clear facial foam, and I loved it!
But then, Form 2 happened… and I made the classic mistake: Fair & Lovely cream. Yep. I thought it would make my face brighter. Who wouldn’t want that? 🙄
Well… it backfired. Acne started popping up. A lot of acne. Other kids still had perfect skin, but me? Nope. Big pimples, scars, and constant foundation-covering. I even tried popping them with my hands and needles… don’t ever do that, guys. Seriously.
By Form 3, it was still bad. Then I moved to another school. My mom suggested I go to the pharmacy. They gave me antibiotics and some cream. Three months later… finally some improvement! No more huge pimples, and I could go foundation-free—but the scars were still there.
I continued the antibiotics until Form 5 / 17 years old. After SPM, I stopped because I developed allergies (and honestly, the pills were huge and stuck in my esophagus 😖).
And then… the great acne comeback. Big pimples everywhere, making me cry. Even strangers would ask me, “What happened to your face?” My mom then suggested I see a skin specialist.
The doctor prescribed another set of pills for 3 months—expensive ones this time. After 3 months, the results were similar to the antibiotics before. I continued taking them until last year.
Now, my acne is mostly manageable, with a few popping out during menstruation. Still a journey… but bearable.
